Legend has it that 153 years ago right here at this very site was the demise of the Bisette family. Mr and Mrs Orval and Sara Bisette built their homestead right in this very bush. Orval was a blacksmith and Sara was known for her almost magical home remedies for healing the sick. As years past suspision grew about Sara and her remedies. Many thought that she knew witchcraft and were afraid to ask for her help. The town would gossip about the Bisette family and eventually no one would use Orval for his services. With two small children and no money the Bisettes grew desperate. They would travel into town with Sara's remedies trying to earn money. One evening Sara had travelled alone into town to buy apothicary glasses to bottle her remedies, as she returned home she found her house engulfed in flames. Frantic, Sara ran into her home to save her husband and children but the flames were too hot. Exhausted and with her hands badly burned Sara collapsed in the yard and became unconscious. When she awoke she found there was nothing left of the home that she and Orval had worked so hard for. She then realized she was alone. Orval and her son Thomas had burned to death in their home. As Sara scrambled to stand up she found that lying at her feet was her daughter Ema. She had survived. Sara was able to heal their burns with her remedies but the scars of losing her husband and son were too deep. The town grew angry with Sara for accusing them of burning down her home and torturing her family. The town mayor and law had decided Sara was dangerous to the community and with the suspicion of her witchcraft she was sentenced to be burned at the stake. Ema was to be placed in an institution. Friday October 31st 1853 Sara Bisette was burned at the stake as her daughter Ema watched on. Two years later Ema escaped from the institution and was never found. People have said that every fall the ghosts of the Bisette family arise to haunt the families of the town folk. Many people fear that the spirits of the Bisette family seek revenge. Pepole have entered Creepers Crypt and never returned. Horrible screams of terror and misery can be heard. It has been told you can hear Orval pounding his anvils and the laughter of the Bisette children playing. Some have said you can see the ghost of Sara walking through the woods terrorizing the town folk.   Come take a journey into Creepers Crypt to see if we can survive the curse of Sara Bisette.
